Muni Campus
Madam Aliwaru Daisy is the Campus Dean at UNITE Muni Campus, providing strategic leadership, management, and community liaison for the institution. As a result-oriented leader and PhD candidate, she holds an MSc in Organization and Public Sector Management, an MEd in Planning and Administration, a Bachelor’s and diploma in Business Education. Beyond campus management, she serves on the UNITE Council and Senate, is a member of the National Council for Higher Education of Uganda, and leads as the Patriotism Coordinator for the five campus of UNITE. Also, served as a member of the lower secondary school curriculum taskforce.
UNITE Muni Campus (formerly National Teachers’ College Muni) is easily accessible both by road, water and air. The strategic location makes the Campus distinct as it attracts students from the whole country and the neighborhoods of South Sudan and Democratic Republic of Congo making access to education at a higher institution of learning highly possible. The spacious and beautiful environment, coupled with the inclusive teaching and non-teaching staff, available makes learning very conducive.
The campus benefits from the relatively affordable cost of living for the non-residential population. The on-campus demonstration school provides a hands-on teaching experiences for teacher trainees of ECD and primary (both preservice and in-service). The campus also has modern infrastructure ranging from adequate lecture blocks, secure accommodation for students and well-equipped sports facilities etc. Additionally, the campus has a developing modern farm (comprised of poultry, an apiary, fish pond, piggery, goats, sheep, diary, rats, rabbits and crop husbandry), which is envisaged to become a hub for vocational pedagogy and community engagement and empowerment in production and provision of organic fertilizer. Through valuable collaborations with partners e.g. Abi ZARDI and VVOB, the campus receives support in equipping student teachers with pedagogical competences relevant for the teaching profession.

What is UNITE Muni Campus?

Why Was NTC Muni transformed to UNITE Muni Campus?
The National Teacher Policy 2019, recommended the creation of UNITE to address gaps in teacher training and to gradually phase out Diploma level programs in favor of Degree and post graduate Diploma.
Is UNITE a university?
UNITE is not a university, but a specialized teacher training institution established through a statutory instrument No. 53 of 2024 under the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act (UOTIA), Cap. 262, as any Other Degree Awarding Institution (ODAI).

Is there accommodation for students? What about the mothers?
- UNITE Muni campus has accommodation provided for students at a minimal cost and it is optional
- Mothers are non-residents
Are meals provided?
No. However, meals are provided by service providers accredited by the Campus Administration at a fair cost.
Are there recreation facilities?
There are a variety of recreation activities including games and sports, cultural galla.
